EXCITEMENT AND ADVENTURE IN MOROCCO

A perfect destination combining culture, adventure and utter indulgence (making it the ultimate destination for honeymooners too.)

Despite its close proximity to Europe, Morocco is a world away. The capital, Marrakech is rich in culture, charm and character - a city full of life and the most weird and wonderful sights. In contrast, Morocco’s Atlas Mountains (just 30km south of Marrakech) offer peace and serenity in the most breathtaking surroundings. It is a wonderful spot for trekking, hot air ballooning and 4x4 driving. The diversity of the areas makes Morocco the perfect destination for those wishing to combine a little culture and adventure whilst staying in the most amazing properties.

COCUMELLA - AMALFI COAST

A 17th century former monastery, Hotel Cocumella sits high on the coast overlooking the Bay of Naples. The hotel has existed since 1822 and was the first seaside resort in Sorrento. As a stop on the Grand Tour it was visited by Goethe and the Duke of Wellington. With its elegantly traditional atmosphere and dramatic cliff side position, Grand Hotel Cocumella is a beautiful hotel from which to enjoy the Amalfi Coast.

It is a tranquil retreat with beautiful flower gardens that end at the cliffs edge, fine cuisine, a seaside solarium, a private chapel for concerts, and Cocumella’s own tall ship ‘Vera’, built in 1880 and used for day cruises along the Amalfi Coast and to Capri. The ambience is sophisticated yet relaxed and peaceful. Corridors with statues and terracotta vases lead to rooms and suites with beautiful walnut furniture, marble chimneys and frescoed ceilings. Outside, an ancient stone well stands in the centre of the cloistered terrace. Wander further and you will discover the private chapel in which occasional concerts are held. Stroll through the wisteria and rosefilled gardens and head for the walkway along the cliff edge. The view is astounding. Then, lunch by the pool in the shade of the orange trees. Later, charter the sailing boat and sail to Capri or Positano either for the day or to stay overnight.

SANTO STEFANO

Le Marche is a truly beautiful region of Italy, located on the eastern side of the country on the Adriatic coast. Unspoiled by mass tourism- this is where Italians come to holiday and where you will find one of Italy’s best kept secrets.

La Chiesa di Santo Stefano is a typically Italian villa, in the heart of le Marche, which has been beautifully restored offering stylish and sophisticated accommodation surrounded by panoramic views of the undiscovered Italian countryside.

Santo Stefano is the country house in which we hold our Learn Italian in Style trips. However, the villa is also available for private rental and makes the most perfect home from home for a large group family holiday.

The house sleeps 15 people in 7 double or twin bedrooms all with en suite bath or shower rooms and Jo Malone products. It also offers two separate well equipped kitchens and sitting rooms, a large dining room. Within the 5 acre grounds is a 50ft swimming pool, a lake, an outdoor pizza oven and dining area, plus a number of terraces - so Santo Stefano is perfect for large groups who want to spend time together, but retain some independence.
